Crochet Classes & Workshops

Here you will find information about beginner crochet lessons and project workshops for crocheters who are proficient at basic stitches and want to learn new techniques with some guidance. 

Yarn Swap

 Cost $15    

How It Works

Yarn Rules:

  • Each participant brings 3-9 unused skeins to the swap.

  • Skeins must retail for $5.50- $12 each

  • Still have skein wrapper intact 

  • Be smoke and hair free.

  • No Red Heart Supersaver please. 

Drop off yarn the week of the swap. If you need to bring your yarn the night of the event, please arrive at least 10-15 minutes early.

Swap Rules:

Since we are a small space, please do not bring anyone who is not participating in the swap.

  • Participants will be given 1 ticket for each skein brought. For example: if you bring 3 skeins, you will get 3 tickets.

  • Participants will also draw a number which determines "shopping" order. Whoever draws number 1 will get to choose yarn from the shopping room first.

  • Round 1: participants will turn in 3 tickets to be able to choose 3 skeins. Everyone will also turn in their number. 

  • Round 2: participants who still have tickets will choose new shopping order numbers. Participants will turn in up to 3 more tickets to shop this round. Each ticket is still worth one skein of yarn.

  • Round 3: participants who still have tickets will choose new shopping order numbers. All remaining tickets will be used this round. 

While waiting your turn to shop, participants are encouraged to work on a project, enjoy refreshments, chat and celebrate Yarn Together's 1 year anniversary!

 

Things to Consider:

  1. Don't bring any yarn that you are not ready to part with.

  2. Any yarn left after round three will be donated to Yarn Together to be used for charity projects.

Easter Eggs

 Eggs are so expensive, why not stitch your own for the hunt this year!

Students will learn how to:

  • create a magic ring 

  • crochet in the round 

  • embroider a lazy daisy & French knot 

This workshop is for those who are already proficient with basic stitches and have a few crochet projects under their belt. 

 

Needed Materials:

*Scrap yarn in worsted weight #4 or DK weight #3

I prefer cotton or a cotton blend, but anything will work. 

*hook size: 3.75mm or 3.5mm

*tapestry needle for sewing

* Stuffing is included with price of class.

​​​Sessions are taught in-person at Yarn Together and do not include needed materials. Students can bring their own supplies or purchase them at Yarn Together for a 5% discount. Discount does NOT include pattern or yarn not already stocked in the shop.
